My dear Mr Campbell 
I had proposed leaving here today for Lexington but am so feeble that the Dr is reluctant for me to take the journey -I fear therefore I may not reach Lexington before the beginning of next week. Will you therefore assembly the Faculty & ask them to prepare the schedule of recitations & make the necessary preparations for the commencement of studies, accommodation of the students etc-
Regretting my inability to be with you
