Rockbridge Baths VA 11 Aug 1866 My dear Sir I have delayed answering your letter of the 25th Ulto: until I could announce the arrival of the box to which it refers. It reached Lexington in due time, & I found it at my house on my return there a few days since. The bed quilt is beautiful, & please say to Mrs Wroth that I shall value it very highly as the work of her hands, & know that it will impart to me more pleasurable feelings than bodily warmth. I am here with Mrs Lee, in the hope that these baths may alleviate her suffering, & think (page 2 ) they have exerted a beneficial influence, though I fear they will not be able to remove her disease. With my earnest prayers for the health & happiness of yourself & Mrs Wroth I am with great respect your friend & servant R E Lee Dr P Wroth
