McCullers is "disappointed in the reception of a story" she'd written. She mentions her ill health, her husband's non-alcoholic state, an upcoming meeting with Tennessee [Williams] and consequent need to finish her play, potential travel to Italy, and possible visits by Isenberg and Cleckley.
