In Part I, this paper will illustrate the presence of forced labor in the U.S. and globally. Part II will introduce current laws and mechanisms in place for fighting forced labor, and examine their efficacy, or lack thereof, showing the poverty that persists because of the gaps in policy and implementation. Part III introduces recommendations for future actions by US government, citizens, and NGOs to eliminate forced labor in and outside the U.S. [From Introduction]
