This transition from newspapers to the Internet is transforming coverage and its presentation to the public. . . . In this paper, I am going to explore the effect this transition has had on the coverage of poverty. Poverty-related issues, for the sake of this paper, will encompass any articles or packages dealing with the deprivation of a certain group of people in terms of education, housing, resources, health care, etc. Poverty coverage includes articles about people or communities that are lacking in a way that prohibits them from participating actively in society and engaging in the social mainstream. This can also encompass coverage of inequalities so profound they cause deprivation. [From Introduction]en_US
