President Gaines replies to Porter, the State Editor at a Washington, D.C. newspaper, to thank him for complimenting the W&L news bureau. Porter had specifically mentioned Norman L. Dobyns in his letter. Gaines mentions that Dobyns has been helpful to Mr. Voigt who has general charge of the news bureau.
