These pictures are portraits of May Alphin. In Pose 1, from 1923, she is wearing a dark dress with a lace collar and a long necklace. In Pose 2, from 1927, she is wearing a sleeveless dress in a light color. These prints were made from the original glass plate negatives, which are housed at Virginia Historical Society.
