It was made "after specific note was taken of unwarranted discrimination against news photographers at the recent [Alger] Hiss talk at Princeton University and of illegal interference at Washington and Lee University upon Senator Barkley's collapse during a speech there." That was the keynote speech at the 1956 Mock Convention.
