The class was SPAN 214 Contemporary Spain in Context: Spanish Culture through Social Interaction.These photographs were part of the Study Abroad Photo Exhibit on October 14, 2014.Anna Paden Carson is a member of the class of 2016 of Washington and Lee University.Student statement about their experience: "I will always be thankful for the time I got to spend in Cádiz, Spain. I experienced something new every single day, and rather than get overwhelmed, our group helped each other look at every day as a gift. We came together and bonded very quickly. We had an extremely diverse group of students in Cádiz which was part of the reason we all had such a successful month abroad. The professors at the University of Cádiz were just as intelligent and enthusiastic about teaching as our professors at W&L, and our host families helped teach us the true meaning of being a Spaniard. Part of my heart will always be in Spain."
