These photographs were taken by Shelby Lauren Flores in July and August, 2014 during a summer internship with U.S. Department of State. This was a WLU Johnson Opportunity Grant.These photographs were part of the Study Abroad Photo Exhibit on October 14, 2014.Shelby Lauren Flores is a member of the class of 2015 of Washington and Lee University.Student statement about their experience: "My internship with the U.S. Department of State provided me with the unique experience of representing the United States abroad. I learned so much about the Foreign Service lifestyle and about the bilateral relations between the U.S. and Mexico. Without the Johnson Opportunity Grant, I would not have been able to have such a memorable and amazing 10 weeks in Mexico."
