| dc.description | Student statement about their experience: "My time in Greece allowed me to immerse myself in the history of a people and a culture that I have studied for years. Walking among the ruins of the Theater of Dionysus, I could picture the plays of Sophocles and Aeschylus come to life. Trekking up the precipitous climb toward the Oracle at Delphi, I imagined myself a pious supplicant begging for Apollo's guidance and wisdom. When atop the storied Acropolis in Athens, I envisioned taking part in a religious procession through the Propylaea and toward the imposing Parthenon. Besides all of this, I learned so much throughout my time in Greece from my professors, my peers, and the people of Greece itself. I encourage anyone with a passion for what they study to put themselves in those places they read of in their textbooks by studying abroad. There is nothing quite like it." | en_US |
