    In the course of this paper I will expand on the moral obligation of enhancing social capital as a means of addressing poverty, examine the resources of social networks that can build social capital and help reduce poverty, look at different approaches that employ social capital in an attempt to address poverty, and examine the obstacles for a community-level approach in reducing poverty as well as responses to those obstacles.
