This is a printed postcard with the photograph of a football team. The young man in the center front holds a football with lettering: "SHAW & V.N.I.I., 11." Fifteen men wearing uniforms are shown sitting on a set of ourdoor stairs.. Three men in street clothes stand behind the team at the top of the stairs. There is a handwritten note with arrow pointing out Clarence. There is a note on the folder containing the postcard: "Photo of Clarence M. Wood as a football player at Va. Union U., C. 1916-17." It was addressed to Mr. J. A. Wood, #22 Posher St., Norfolk, Va. There is a one cent stamp on the card and the postmark reads, ETRICKS, 21 DEC, 8 AM, 1910, VA.
