This sheet has two biographical sketches with photographs -- one on each side. On one side is a sketch of Deacon Rosa Jeanette Scott Harris, 1945-2012. Her husband had been pastor at the First Baptist Church in Lexington, Virginia. The other side has a somewhat distorted picture along with a sketch on Mary Jane Patterson. She was born into slavery, the daughter of fugitive slaves, she "became the first African-American woman to receive a college degree when she graduated from Oberlin College in 1862."
