This letter was typed on letterhead stationery for Historic Lexington Foundation, Lexington, Virginia 24450. It is addressed to Mrs. Norman Bowles Mrs. David M. Moore, and Mrs. E. T. Walker. It was sent by Richard R. Fletcher, Vice President, Chairman, Jacson House Committee who writes to thank these "Ladies" for their participation in a meeting about the Jackson House Restoration. The date on the letter is August 8, 1977. A handwritten note was added on the reverse, presumably by Mrs. E. T. Walker, saying she had called and told Fletcher that she would not raise funds for the Jackson House.
