The text of this certificate reads, "Kappa = Gamma = Chi, Literary Society of Virginia Union University. This certificate of honorary membership is awarded to Mr. C. M. Wood who has been during his college course, a loyal and esteemed member of this Society, this 23rd day of May, 1919." It is signed by the President and Secretary of the Society.
