This handwritten "Design of a Steel Crescent Roof-Truss" has the date of June 1, 1904 on the cover page. The next page states that, "A thesis being required of all candidates for the B. S. degree of W.L.U., I respectfully submit the following design of a crescent roof-truss." James Byrnside Akers submitted another paper in 1908 as a "candidate for degree of Civ. Eng."This student paper is accompanied by one blueprint (a construction drawing) which measures 29.5 inches wide and 21.75 inches tall.
