This investigation was made in an attempt to determine the existance of possible relations between the results of the standard tests of a physical nature proformed upon native asphaltic materials used in highway construction. It will be noted that the second great class of such material, petroleum asphalts was not considered in this investigation and the conclusion reached is thus tenable only for native lake asphalts of Trinidad and Bermudez origin.
