In this memorandum "A. Patterson, is the owner of a Negro man named Bill, who is the husband of Silla . . ." Silla has been emancipated, as per Hugh Adams's will, and is going to Liberia. Bill is to be emancipated and will travel with his wife to Liberia. Robert Hutcheson is acting as Executor of Adams's estate.
